2021 American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program
Lockhart ISD Community Education is excited to share swimming lessons will once again be available this summer through our partnership with Lockhart State Park. There are options available to children as young as 6 months old and older. Classes are held at Lockhart State Park Monday - Friday. Session one will take place June 7-11 and June 14 - 25. Session two will take place July 12 - 16 and July 19 - 30.

Karate *REGISTRATION IS CLOSED - CLASS IS FULL*
Lockhart ISD Community Education is excited to share karate lessons will once again be available this summer. There are options available to students ages 5-12 and 13 and up. Classes are held at the Plum Creek Elementary Gym on Monday evenings. Lessons will be held from June 7 - August 16 (no class on July 5th).

Dr. Eugene Clark Library Summer Reading Program 2021
The Dr. Eugene Clark Library Summer Reading Program "Tails and Tales" is a hybrid (virtual and in-person) event for community members of all ages! Pre-registration is open from May 24th until June 6th at lockharttx.beanstack.org for new and returning participants. Click here for step-by-step instructions on how to register and click here for more information about the event! A kick off party will take place on Friday, June 4 from 10-2 at the library where participants can pick up their materials and receive a free snow cone! The Summer Reading Program runs from June 7 - July 18 with weekly YouTube sessions on different animals. Beanstack will be used to record the reader's minutes.
As in years past, there will be a summer reading contest for adults. Please contact the Dr. Eugene Clark Library at 512-398-3223 or online at http://www.clark-library-lockhart.org.
The library will also be a site for the FREE Healthy Summer Meals program for kids 18 and under in June and July! Lunches will be available for pick up from 12-1 on a grab and go basis.
