Assistant Principal's Message

Dear PCE Family,

As I begin my second year as Assistant Principal at Plum Creek Elementary, I am filled with excitement, gratitude, and pride for the incredible work that has taken place on our campus. Reflecting on my first year, I have been fortunate to witness tremendous growth in both our students and staff leaders. Together, we have built strong relationships, embraced challenges, celebrated successes, and remained focused on what matters most, which is providing the very best educational experience for every student who walks through our doors.

One of the things that makes Plum Creek Elementary so special is the people. Our students continue to amaze me with their resilience, leadership, and determination to learn and grow each day. At the same time, our staff consistently demonstrates a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Watching teachers step into leadership roles, share their expertise, and support one another has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey at PCE.

As we enter a new school year, I look forward to continuing the work we have started together. Our theme, #ShiningTogetherAtPCE, reminds us that our greatest accomplishments happen when we work as a team. Every student, staff member, family, and community partner plays an important role in making our campus successful. By continuing to refine our practices, strengthen instruction, and support one another, we will ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am especially proud of the culture we have built around attendance. Last year, Plum Creek Elementary earned the distinction of having the best attendance in the district, and that accomplishment was the direct result of the collective efforts of our students, families, and staff. Attendance is much more than being present at school. It is about providing students with access to meaningful learning opportunities, building relationships, and creating a foundation for long-term success. Every day a student is in school matters. 

As we move forward, we will continue to emphasize the importance of attendance while finding new ways to celebrate and encourage students for being present and engaged. We know that when students are here, they learn more, connect more, and achieve more. Together, we can continue to build upon our success and maintain our commitment to making attendance a priority.

Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and dedication to our students. I am honored to serve the Plum Creek Elementary community and excited for all that lies ahead. The future is bright, and I cannot wait to see how we continue to grow, lead, and shine together at PCE throughout this school year.
