Lockhart ISD Student Transfer Information 2026-2027

New Out-of-District Transfers

Thank you for considering Lockhart ISD for your student's education! The 2026-2027 Out-of-District Transfer link is now available here!

Please carefully review the information below before submitting your request.
Returning Transfer Students (Currently Approved Transfers)
Parents/guardians of students who are currently attending the district on an approved out-of-district transfer must submit a renewal request for the upcoming school year no later than May 25, 2026.

• Requests submitted by the May 25 deadline will be reviewed during summer processing.
• Requests submitted AFTER May 25, 2026, will not receive a response or review update until after September 8, 2026.
• Decisions will be communicated via an email notification. 

New Transfer Applicants
Parents/guardians submitting a request for a student who has not previously been approved for an out-of-district transfer may apply at any time.

• New applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
• Decisions will be communicated via an email notification. 

 Children of Lockhart ISD employees will be prioritized for consideration.

Campus-to-Campus Transfers

The 2026-2027 Campus to Campus Transfer link is now available here! To best support your student’s placement, please complete this form no later than May 25th. 

Please note, Campus to Campus requests submitted AFTER May 25th, 2026, will not receive an updated decision until after September 8th, 2026. 

Exceptions will be allowed based on the following: 

Children of Lockhart ISD employees will be prioritized for consideration.
