Fine Arts

Welcome to Lockhart ISD Fine Arts! Below you will find information about the wide range of Fine Arts programs offered in our schools.

Why Fine Arts?

Students develop values and strengths that will last throughout their lives when they participate in the arts.

  • Self confidence, self worth, and self discipline are enhanced through creativity, self expression, and artistic achievement.

  • Social/Emotional health is promoted through team participation and a positive collaborative experience.

  • Work ethic, tenacity, and problem-solving skills are developed by facing the rigors of individual and group performance, enabling students to meet the many challenges of life after LISD.

Lockhart ISD’s Fine Arts programs strive for excellence in performance and artistic expression, endeavor to educate the whole child and enrich the life of each young person.

Lockhart ISD’s commitment to fine arts education begins at our five elementary campuses. We strive to provide equal exposure and opportunity to all K-5 students across our district. Each campus has its own Art teacher and Music teacher with no shared or traveling teachers. Exposure to Art and Music, their histories, and cultural backgrounds enrich the lives of all of our elementary students.
