Swim Instructors

Instructors needed for:

American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program
*Parent and Child Aquatics (parent and toddler/young child in water)
*Preschool Aquatics (ages 4-5)
*Learn to Swim Leveled Classes (ages 6 and older)

Instructors must work well with students to develop skills, learn various strokes, understand water safety, and build confidence in the water. Instructors must prepare lessons plans for each class. Classes are held in the mornings and evenings at Lockhart State Park in June and July.

Instructors must have a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification or be willing to complete the course to become certified (course at no cost to applicants who are selected for positions). Instructors must also be 18 years of age or older.

Sunsational Summer Camp Site Managers (will hire two)
General description of camp:
Students are offered a variety of age-appropriate activities in active, creative, discovery, and cooperative play. Activities such as sports, team games, science, creative snacks, music, dance, artistic expression, crafts, open swim/water play, and others are offered throughout the summer. Site managers will:

*work 30 hours per week (6:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. or 12:15 p.m.-6:15 p.m.); camp is eight
weeks during the summer
*manage daily operations of summer camp
*supervise and mentor 14-15 employees
*plan activities/follow lessons plans/lead activities
*maintain positive, fun learning environment
*build good relationships/serve as a role model for campers
*communicate effectively with campers, staff, parents

Sunsational Summer Camp Group Leaders (will hire 14)
Group leaders will:
*work 29-30 hours each week; camp is eight weeks during the summer
*lead activities in small groups and large groups
*build good relationships/serve as a role model for campers
*work well with a team
*maintain positive, fun learning environment
*communicate effectively with campers and co-workers

The lifeguard will:
*complete course to become certified if not already certified (course offered in Lockhart
at no cost to applicant selected for position)
*serve as lifeguard for American Red Cross Swim Program
-classes held in the mornings and evenings at Lockhart State Park June 11-29 and
July 9-27
*work well with swim instructors
