Dear LISD Parents of 4th - 8th Graders,

This is a reminder about an amazing opportunity for LISD 4th - 8th grade students to participate in FREE Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning activities this Saturday!

Students and their families (siblings, too!) can attend this FREE event at Lockhart Junior High School anytime between 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. Families can come for any portion of the event--we know many of you have other obligations on Saturdays such as sports and other recreational activities. Come for any portion of time during Saturday’s fun family event!

Flyers and sign up sheets have already gone home in backpacks. Simply fill out the form and send it back before Saturday. Also, you can just come to the event Saturday, and there will be staff from the LBJ Institute to help you register for the event online using iPads.

This free event is funded by a grant from NASA, intending to give students STEM experiences with the hopes we can encourage more of our Lions to consider a future in STEM fields!

There will be free events every Saturday at LJHS from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm until November 10th! Families are welcome to come to any Saturday or all!

See you Saturday!

Thank you,

Christina Courson
Executive Director of Communications and Community Services
