Lockhart, TX - Lockhart ISD proudly announces that Jasmyn Corley has been named the new Principal of Plum Creek Elementary. Ms. Corley will officially begin her new role in June 2026.
Ms. Corley, who currently serves as Executive Assistant Principal supporting both Plum Creek Elementary and Borchert Loop Elementary, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to her new position. Over the past year, serving in this innovative dual-campus leadership role, her contributions to student achievement, campus culture, and leadership development have continued to solidify her reputation as a transformational leader within Lockhart ISD.
During her time at Plum Creek, Ms. Corley has helped lead initiatives that resulted in the highest district growth rates in reading and math, the highest attendance rate in the district for three consecutive years, and an enhanced campus culture. She has also demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership development by mentoring district Lever Leaders and Assistant Principals, and supporting the development of Lockhart ISD’s shared leadership model. Her leadership has also played an important role in Plum Creek Elementary earning an A rating for the 2024-25 school year.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Corley served as Assistant Principal at Plum Creek Elementary and as a 5th-grade ESL teacher at Alma Brewer Strawn Elementary, where she was recognized as Campus and District Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2021. She also held teaching roles at Olivewood Elementary and St. Anne School, both in California, where she implemented innovative instructional strategies and fostered academic success. These experiences have provided her with a broad perspective and a strong foundation for meeting the diverse needs of students and staff.
Superintendent Dr. Mark Estrada shared his excitement about Ms. Corley’s appointment, saying, “Ms. Corley represents what is possible when we invest in and grow our own leaders. From the classroom to campus leadership, she has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to students and a unique ability to elevate those around her. We are excited to see her continue unlocking the potential of students and staff at Plum Creek Elementary.”

Ms. Corley will succeed Mrs. Jamee Griebel, the longtime principal of Plum Creek Elementary, whose leadership established a strong culture of high expectations and student success. Under Mrs. Griebel’s leadership, Plum Creek has become a high-performing campus with a clear commitment to excellence. Mrs. Griebel will continue serving as Executive Principal of Borchert Loop Elementary while also supporting the district’s continued development of Lockhart ISD’s internationally recognized shared leadership model.
Ms. Corley holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Educational Studies from Chapman University, as well as a Principal Certification from Texas State University. Her expertise in instructional leadership and passion for education will undoubtedly drive continued success at Plum Creek Elementary.
