Tom Guyton sworn in for new term on LISD Board

Tom Guyton being sworn in for fourth Board term

Lockhart Independent School District swore in Tom Guyton for a new term on the LISD Board at the regular Board meeting Monday night. This is the fourth term for Guyton, who was first elected in 2009.

Michael Wright and Rebecca Pulliam were sworn in at a special meeting on November 21. Wright, Pulliam, and Guyton were unopposed for the Lockhart ISD Board at-large seats.

“We are grateful for the continuity in leadership on the school board that has been laser-focused on doing what is best for students and staff, adhering to our district values of having a LockHeart for People, being Locked on Excellence, and committing to UnLocking Potential in themselves and others,” said Superintendent Mark Estrada. “Their dedication is evident in every decision they make and is largely why they were selected as the 2022 Region 13 Board of the Year.”
