School Health Advisory Council (SHAC)
The Lockhart ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) works to foster a culture of health and wellness for students, families and staff. Members consist of LISD parents, school personnel and community members. The SHAC meets 5 times per year to review Lockhart ISD coordinated school health programs and make suggestions on ways to improve the health and wellness of our Lockhart ISD community.
The SHAC works to assist the District in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the District’s coordinated school health programs. The SHAC makes recommendations to the District and to the Board of Trustees.
The components of a coordinated school health program include nutrition services, health services, counseling and social services, physical education, health education, family and community involvement, health promotion for staff, healthy school environment.
2023-2024 SHAC Meeting Dates
Meetings for the 2023-2024 school year are scheduled on Mondays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The location is ML Cisneros Education Support Center, 419 Bois D'Arc St, Lockhart, TX 78644 (Board Room).

We are so thankful for the volunteers that have agreed to serve on the SHAC. At this time, all voting member seats for the 2023-2024 school year have been filled. Please know that all meetings of the full SHAC are open to the public for attendance.
