Friday
Morning Meeting is an assembly that is held every Friday morning
for our students and staff. Each assembly is designed to
increase student and staff participation and morale. Students
participate by performing the pledge, receiving birthday cards
and awards. This year we have changed the format of the
assembly. In order to have more student involvement we have
added an entertainment session. Friday Morning Meeting has been
a part of Plum Creek for the past 4 years. It has been a big
success with the students and staff at Plum Creek and we hope to
continue it for years to come.

The Itty
Bitty Band Came to Perform |

invited the Itty Bitty Band to Friday Morning Meeting.
The staff and students enjoyed a song and dance from the
band. |

American Idol Visits Plum Creek Elementary |

Plum Creek
had a very special visit from American Idol. There were
four performances from wonderful singers. The judges and
Ryan Secrest flew in and took part in the contest right
here at Plum Creek Elementary. All of the singers made
it through to Hollywood. We can not wait to see if they
will return to Plum Creek for a final performance.
Everyone is asking, "Who will be the next Plum Creek
American Idol?" |

The
Plum Creek Lion Cheerleaders Performance |
|
We had a very special performance for our Tackle the
TAKS pep rally. We had a visit from five Plum Creek
Lion Cheerleaders. The cheerleaders led the
students and staff in several cheers. After the cheers
Mrs. Henrichs, our vice principal, performed a song
titled "I Will Survive the TAKS" for the audience. The
song was sung to the tune of "I Will Survive" by Gloria
Gaynor. The students and staff had a great time participating
in the TAKS pep rally. |

In honor of
Dr. Seuss' birthday the students and staff dressed up as
characters from a Dr. Seuss book. During the Friday
Morning Meeting staff members acted out The Foot Book
by Dr. Seuss.
