My name is Vicki Head, and I am excited to be joining the “Star Staff” at Navarro Elementary. Being the daughter of an Air Force officer, I’ve traveled in several countries, but graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio, Texas. I continued my education at Texas State University where I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree and my Masters degree in Special Education. My first year of teaching was in a fourth grade classroom in the Hays ISD followed by a year teaching sixth grade with the Schertz-Cibilo ISD. In 1983, I moved to New Braunfels where I taught for eighteen years in resource, content mastery and inclusion settings followed by eight years in a general education fifth grade classroom. My goal is to be part of a learning community that “reaches for the stars” which is exactly what the teachers and staff at Navarro Elementary strive to do each and every day!
