            My name is Wendy Mills, and I am proud to be serving as the Assistant Principal for such an outstanding campus. I grew up in Dallas, Texas and after graduating high school, I went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin where I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education. During my first three years I taught Kindergarten through Fifth grade as a Physical Education teacher in Austin ISD. In 2003, I moved to Bastrop, Texas where I taught 3rd Grade for 4 years. Helping children learn and discover a new understanding of ideas is my passion and I am so proud to be able to serve the students in my own community of Lockhart I.S.D.!

 
          I  have been married to my wonderful husband for the past 5 years and we have two beautiful Cocker Spaniels, Jazz and Maggie. In my spare time I enjoy jogging, skating, reading and watching home decorating shows. We have lived in Lockhart for the past two years, and we have found the whole town to be most welcoming and the barbecue to be absolutely delicious. I look forward to serving the students of LISD for many years to come and I hope you feel free to contact me whenever you have a concern, compliment, idea, or desire to help make Navarro the “Exemplary” school I am confident it can be!
