I am the assistant principal for the juniors and have dedicated 23 years of service to Lockhart Independent School District. I graduated from Lockhart High School in 1979. In 1983, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Texas State University. I received a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas State University in 2000. In 2004, I graduated with a M. Ed. in Educational Administration. I have extensive training in the areas of bilingual education, gifted and talented education, educational administration, curriculum and instruction, and reading.  

My professional affiliations include:

  • Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education

Each day I look forward to experiencing the successes of Lockhart High School. I continually strive to achieve the highest level of excellence by setting high expectations. I believe in establishing a climate for people to reach their potential and value the diversity that exists within a school. It is important to provide respect, motivation, appreciation and encouragement.
