Peggy Hoffman is a lifelong learner/teacher/administrator for LISD. Upon graduation from Lockhart High School and Texas State University, Ms. Hoffman began a career as a teacher in many of the elementary grades, and then became an administrator as an assistant principal, and then principal of Plum Creek Elementary where the campus was rated “exemplary”. Upon retirement, she worked in the LISD Community Education Program as a GED test examiner. When the opportunity and “challenge” was offered this semester, Ms. Hoffman became an assistant principal at Lockhart High School. She considers this new assignment “an opportunity to continue to live out her passion” for helping young learners, their parents, and fellow professionals realize their potential toward making this world a better place. She is remembered by her former students as the “one with the weird birthday” as she stays young by having a birthday only every four years.
