Read

from the Texas Education Agency to learn more about
the upcoming changes in student assessment.
STAAR will be
replacing TAKS.

Energy Conservation |
Please remember to
do an energy shut down if you are the last staff
member in a classroom or computer lab at the end of
each day. Make sure every computer and monitor is
turned off as well as lights, printers, fans, etc.
Hint: turn off the overhead lights and look for lights
on computers and monitors.

Pilot Excellent
Attendance Incentive Program for Teachers |
| The Lockhart ISD
School Board is committed to instruction in the
classroom. It is their belief that students will
benefit from each day that the teacher is in the
classroom. The Pilot Excellent Attendance Program for
Classroom Teachers replaces the Pilot Teacher Local
Leave Program that existed in the 2008-2009 school
year. The Pilot Excellent Attendance Program for
Classroom Teachers is effective at the beginning of
the 2009-2010 school year.
