LJHS Athletic Coordinator: Raymond Talamantez

 

 

This is my third year in this profession.  The last two years, I coached at Goliad I.S.D. where I was an Varsity assistant under Tim Collins.  I was the Special Teams coordinator, coached tight ends, defensive ends, and running backs.  I also was the Defensive Coordinator for the Junior Varsity.  Other responsibilities were Junior High basketball and track.

Soccer Coach: Ramez Antoun

 

This is my seventh year teaching and coaching, all of which have been at LJHS.  I am a soccer coach for both the junior high and the high school, and I love my job.  I took the scenic route through college, and graduated from Southwest Texas State in 2000 with a major in History and a minor in Exercise and Sports Science.  This is a great coaching staff, and I feel lucky to be a part of it.

Football/Track Coach: Andre Johnson

 

I was a three year letterman at Rockdale High School, participating in football, power lifting and track. My senior year I set a new state record with a combined total lifts of 1660 pounds. I graduated from Texas State University in December 2005. I was a member of the Texas State Power lifting Club in 2003. I earned 2nd place at Collegiate Nationals (St. Louis, Mo) and also at Junior Nationals (Baton Rouge, La). I was also a member of the USA Junior World Team where we traveled to Kocian, Poland and received second place as a team. I am a first year language arts teacher and coach here at Lockhart Junior High School. For football I coach the 8th grade “B team” offense and 8th grade “A team.” I will also coach 8th grade track and field.
