Librarian on the Roof! A True Story!

Children's author M.G. King will be visiting Clear Fork Elementary on September 10. This tells the lighthearted story of RoseAleta Laurell, a gutsy librarian who camped for a week on the fifty-foot roof of Dr. Eugene Clark library here in Lockhart! She refused to come down until she had raised $20,000 to improve the children's section of the library, and she did it!!! This book has been chosen by the Texas State Library as one of the great reads about great places. You will be receiving a paper about this event and can pre-order your signed copy of this book. If you would like a signed copy of the book please return your form by September 8 to our school librarian. The cost of the book is $15 and cash is the only option of payment.
