Jump Rope for
Heart Scheduled for Friday
| Students
at Bluebonnet Elementary are raising funds to help fight
heart disease. The money students raise will go to the
American Heart Association to help pay for new medicines
and treatments to be discovered. Students also get to
have fun and learn about their own heart--how it works
and how to protect it! Visit the

Ms.
Hamblin's third grade class is researching facts about
states in our country. They are learning about the
symbols, natural resources, and people of the state.
Below are some of the sites they are using for their
research. |
Texas Rivers
There are 15 main
rivers and over over 3,700 streams that run through Texas. These
waterways provide a variety of the ecosystems and habitats for
many species. Fourth graders are investigating the impact that
rivers have on the plants, animals and people of Texas.
The
Winter Olympics

The first
modern winter Olympics were held January 21, 1924. Athletes
from all over the world will be in Vancouver to participate
in this year's Olympics. On February 12, the opening
ceremony will kick-off the games. Take a look at the sites
below to learn more about the Olympics. |
Rock Cycle
Third and fifth graders
are looking at rocks. They will be identifying the three types of
rocks: igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary. The websites below are
some of the sites they will be looking at.
