Dear LISD Parents and Guardians,

This morning,  a secondary student from LDMC and his parent reported to the police that two men in a small, light blue rusted truck on B’ois D’arc, possibly single-cab, told the student, “Come here.”

The student did not get into the vehicle and went home to tell his mother about the incident, who then reported it to Lockhart Police Department.  The police brought the student to school, notified administration, and are investigating.

The student identified that the driver of the truck was an older Hispanic male with dark short hair and a white beard.  The other passenger was a younger man with no facial hair and short hair.

We are sharing this with all of our parents to keep you aware. This is also an opportunity to review stranger danger with your children.

We are grateful to the Lockhart Police Department for their assistance in this matter and for helping to keep all of our Lions safe. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at Susan.Bohn@lockhart.txed.net.

Truly,

Susan K. Bohn, Ed.D., J.D.
