#LISDChampion, Deacon Snider was crowned the District Champion in poetry and qualifies for the Regional Meet to be held in San Antonio on Saturday, April 14th. Deacon will compete for an opportunity to advance to State.

The academic director for the meet, Melissa Hardaway, said the meet was a great success. Lockhart High School was complimented for having great facilities and excellent organization and preparation for the competitions.

Our students and sponsors also played great hosts to all our guest and were also complimented for being friendly and helpful. Thank you to Key Club, JROTC, Theatre, and Hardaway’s students for volunteering to make this a successful event. We are proud of all our #LISDChampions for their performance in competition and their Lion hospitality to all of our visitors.
