Dear Lockhart ISD Staff, Parents, and Community Members,
I am providing an update on the superintendent search on behalf of the LISD Board of Trustees.
The Board completed interviewing seven applicants for the superintendent position last week. I am pleased to share we are prepared to name a lone finalist for the new superintendent of Lockhart ISD. For this reason, we are holding a special called Board meeting at Lockhart Junior High School library tomorrow, June 11, at 7 p.m.
The Board originally anticipated doing a second round of interviews and naming the lone finalist later this month; however, after interviewing applicants this week, we were able to make a selection.
Once the Board names the lone finalist, the district will communicate through its usual channels of email, the website, social media, and the LISD app to make the formal announcement.
There must be a 21-day waiting period before the district can formally hire that person.
On behalf of the Board, thank you for your support through this process. Stay tuned!
Sincerely,
Brenda Spillmann
President, Board of Trustees
