Attention GED Students

  • All students interested in enrolling in the GED Testing and Preparation Program must attend a 12-hour orientation session at the Lockhart Adult Learning Center.
  • The Orientation will provide prospective students with all the information they may need concerning GED testing and GED preparation classes. 
  • The orientation will include testing of adult basic skills in reading, math, and language, as well as GED Practice Tests to determine student eligibility

GED Orientation Schedule Fall 2007 / Spring 2008

Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with one hour Noon break (8 hrs.) Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 Noon (4 hrs.). You must attend both days (12 hrs.) to complete the registration process. Follow this link for instructions to register for GED Preparation class.

September 6 & 7 October 4 & 5 November 1 & 2
No orientation in December January 10 & 11 February 7 & 8
March 6 & 7 April 3 & 4 May 1 & 2
REGISTRATION

All students must pre-register for the Orientation they wish to attend by filling out a Registration Form and submitting:

  • a copy of their Texas Dept.of Public Safety ID or Driver's License
  • a copy of their Social Security Card
  • Referral Form from DHS or TWC (if applicable)

All 16 and 17 year old students must also submit:

  • school transfer or withdrawal report and/or Court Orders for GED
  • a signed Parental Consent Form 
  • Note: Parents of 16 & 17 year-old students must attend the first hour of Orientation.
