Badge Procedures for all LISD Employees

 

BADGE REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS 

Lockhart ISD has been implementing various safety and security measures over the last several years to provide a safer, yet user-friendly environment for our students, visitors, and staff.  One of those measures is to issue identification cards to Lockhart ISD staff.  Another is to provide better access control in our facilities and improved directions/signage for visitors.  

From a safety perspective, it’s extremely important to be able to identify the people that should be in the Lockhart ISD campuses and buildings (i.e. staff, authorized visitors, etc.).  An identification card allows us to easily identify other staff members, including those from other programs on campus.  

For safety and security measures, all employees must have their identification card easily visible when on Lockhart ISD campuses.  If you encounter people in the hallway that do not have identification cards, ask if they need assistance.  It’s a great opportunity to provide good customer service while doing our duty to provide a safe and secure learning environment.  [Please be conscious of the person’s behavior and belongings; report any suspicious person(s) to your campus administrator immediately.]

 

Replacement Request

If your badge is damaged or lost, you must report it to your campus administrator immediately, but no later than 24 hours, and email the human resources department at hr@lockhart.txed.net.  You will then need to fill out a Replacement form (located in the Human Resources “F” drive (paper copy).  Complete the form, ask your administrator to sign it, and return it to the human resources department via email.  After your form is turned in, your badge will be ready within 3 business days.   You will be notified either by phone or email when it is ready for pickup.
